This was a hot pink glam rock queer love wedding styled shoot of my freaking dreams! We created a fun, irreverent, bold hot pink and turquoise shoot that took place on February 5th at Coopers Hall in Portland, Oregon. The team collaborated on a vision of realness, of queerness, and of, most importantly, FUN, from a staged ceremony to reception table to cake table complete with disco balls, flamingos, and a dog wearing a rainbow bowtie. And we can’t forget the true stars of the show: our models (Violet (she/her) and Rune (they/them), a real engaged couple whose love truly shines through in every shot.

The backstory: I am a queer wedding planner and I had a vision to create a shoot that wasn't

anything like you usually see in the industry. I wanted a real queer couple. I wanted to feature the kinds of bodies and aesthetics of the people I serve and who I love. I wanted local vendors who also serve that vision and whom I could show off for the amazing talents they are. And I wanted it to feel budgetarily attainable to the average person planning a wedding and not aspirational, without sacrificing style and still feeling fun and adventurous (The flowers are faux and rented! The dresses were off the rack!). I wanted something someone could do themselves, showcase my style, and really highlight the skills and creativity of the other vendors. And I wanted engaged queer people to see themselves in this shoot! I couldn't be more proud of what we created. Massive thanks to the team and the models!
